How to Redirect a systeme.io Form to a Thank-You Page

The usual advice for delivering a freebie in systeme.io is an automation rule that emails the file after signup. I tested that pattern end to end and it silently fails when double opt-in is on. Zero delivery emails across three confirmed test signups. The setup that actually works skips the email entirely: redirect the form to a thank-you page and put a download button on it. Here is exactly where that setting lives.

The short how

1. In systeme.io, go to Funnels and open your funnel.

2. Open the opt-in page in the page editor.

3. Click the form element to select it.

4. In the settings panel, open the Actions tab.

5. Set the post-submit behavior to redirect "To the next step" (your thank-you page).

6. Save the page.

7. Build that thank-you page. Put a prominent download button on it linking straight to your file. Upload the file first under Assets > Files and copy its link.

8. Below the button, add a short note telling the subscriber to check their inbox and click the confirmation link. The redirect does not replace double opt-in.

9. Test the whole loop with your own address. You should land on the thank-you page, the button should open your file, and the confirmation email should arrive within a minute or two.

The catch

The thank-you page delivers the file, but it does not confirm the subscriber. They still have to click the confirmation link in the email to land on your list. Make that unmissable on the page. If they skip it, they stay unconfirmed and systeme.io deletes them after 24 hours.

And do not spend your one free-plan automation rule trying to make the email version work. The free plan allows exactly one rule, and the email-delivery pattern is the wrong place to burn it. I proved it fails. The redirect is the fix.
